(Tonight’s Storyteller is about a young man who tells us about his experiences he’s had while in the University. He leaves us some tips while he’s at it)

My name is Akuwunze Gerald C. Popularly known as Issa Bossman Gerald.
I’m a Biochemistry final year student of Imo State University Imsu, Owerri.

I thought they were geniuses until I followed them to night class only to realize that they have a home far from home😂😂😁

My story is a true life story, every part of it is something I encountered, there’s no fiction, forging or whatsoever.

When I got into the university, I had this unforgettable experience. Every night, I saw a few groups of students going to read. They would leave their hostels around 9pm and return by 6am to prepare for lectures.

I so much admired them. As they walked back to the hostels every morning, people would shout ‘Genius!’ ‘Brain Box!’ ‘Your head is so hot, it’s on fire!” One day, I decided to join them

Guess what?
I’m sure you don’t want to hear this😂💔

That night, with my bag full of books, I walked to the largest hall used for night reading. I moved quietly to avoid disturbing the students reading inside. But when I entered the hall, my jaw dropped!

Many students were fast asleep. Some even brought mattresses and pillows along and slept until morning! Others were watching movies, conversing loudly and playing video games. I was somewhat disappointed!😫
The worst part of it is this girl in my hostel named Oge that I use to respect coz of her constant night class but I was disappointed thereafter.

I was there when she arrived, guess what “voom” my girl spread wrapper and traveled to an unknown land🤣🤣🤣

I shock, she wouldn’t even last for at least 2mins.
I said to myself “so this is the everyday night class. Okay na I canno’ coman kee mysef😊”
I just walked quietly to a desk in the corner, lay down, used my bag as a pillow and slept off. The next morning, as I walked back to my hostel looking tired, what were people saying to me? ‘Genius!’ ‘Brain!’ ‘Your head is on fire!’🤣🤣🤣🤣 For Sleep I sleep abi😂😆😅😅

Una de ment, I didn’t know that Imsu had a home far from home.
After that night I said a hell NO to night class.
Sometimes, imitation can lead to limitation. What works best for someone else may not work for you. Investigate before you emulate. Learn from others but discover yourself and build your own self to suit what works for you.

To me I’m not a fan of night class, it doesn’t work for me. I rather read in a friend’s hostel all through the night than read inside school. I have tried it severally but it’s not working for me so I quit.
As a student you are supposed to know the best time to read, where to read, how to read and whom to read with. Don’t do because Obi is doing it. People fail life’s exam because they try to copy others forgetting that life serves everyone different question papers.

Alright, I forgot to mention my worst night class experience ever…..

(There’s more to this story!)
